600 Degrees Pizzeria and Draft House

A 120-year old bakery reborn in 2015 as 600 Degrees Pizzeria and Draft House, this historic establishment is located one block east of the Square on 8th Street. 600 Degrees features 25 unique pizza pies and 30 draft beers with seasonal and rotational taps. Obviously popular with Southwestern University students, us seniors are also welcomed. For verification that 600 Degrees represents the rebirth of 120-year old bakery, check out the east exterior of the building.

Burger University 
The "Curriculum" (menu) of Burger University is sure to bring a smile to your face with offerings including: Campus Classic, Mascot Burger, Sorority Burger, Fraternity Burger, Rival Burger, Exchange Student Burger, and more. You also have options for "Housing" (buns) and "Minors" (hand-battered onion rings, fried pickle spears, and sweet potato fries).  And, you can treat yourself to delicious Blue Bell Ice Cream upstairs at the soda fountain.

Dos Salsas 
Texas-style Mexican food at its best can be found at Dos Salsas, a Georgetown institution located south of the Square on Main Street. Two different types of salsas sit on each table giving you the opportunity to choose how you want to flavor your favorite Mexican dish.  You may have a wait to eat at Dos Salsas, but it's worth it.  Be sure to check out their Margaritas and Mexican Martinis.




Gumbo's North

In the fall of 2012, the Square welcomed Gumbo's to the historic Masonic Temple on the northeast corner of the Georgetown Square. Gumbo's features seafood and steak in the downstairs dining room, a lounge upstairs, and service available on the popular balcony overlooking the Williamson County Courthouse, Gumbo's is a nice addition to the "Most Beautiful Downtown Square." A special note to families: licensed childcare is available in the Play Zone at All Things Kids next door for Friday and Saturday evening dining.

Great family place with play area, Hat Creek Burgers is walking distance from the Square.

Khun Kan Thai Kitchen   
Located down the street from the historic Downtown Square on 7th Street, Khun Kan Thai Kitchen offers authentically, flavorful Thai Cuisine.

Laurie's
Located just north of the Square, Laurie's offers a variety of delicious, homemade food made “from scratch” with the freshest ingredients. The quaint, cozy ambiance reflects the "small town charm" of Georgetown making it a popular lunch destination. Laurie's also offers great frozen casseroles for a delicious home-cooked meal without the effort.

Celebrated as one of the top cafes in small Texas towns, The Monument Cafe is a 1940’s-style diner specializing in home-style cooking. Every meal is served with fresh vegetables and they have a great selection of homemade desserts such as a fried pie (fruit fully enclosed in a pastry crust and fried to a crisp); baked tapioca pudding, chocolate pecan pie and more. New additions to the Monument are the Monument Market and the Monument Garden. The Monument Market features locally-sourced organic produce, meats, and dairy produce. A traditional Texas Biergarten, the Monument Garden serves beer, wine, hamburgers, and fries daily, with live entertainment on the weekend.

El Monumento
In the fall of 2012, the owners of the Monument Cafe opened El Monumento a few blocks north on Austin Avenue. El Monumento's stunning architecture and spacious deck overlooking the South Fork of the San Gabriel River make this a special gathering place. El Monumento features home-style, made-from-scratch Mexican fare.

Nancy's Sky Garden
Located on the 4th floor of the Tamiro Plaza across the street from the Monument Cafe, features "healthy Asian eats" and Haney & Sons Teas.

Red Poppy Coffee Co.
Located inside the Georgetown Public Library, the Red Poppy Coffee Co. is a coffee shop and more. Sip a cup of coffee while browsing the library shelves. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and try out a mouth-watering dessert.

Roots Bistro
Located on the south of the historic Georgetown Square, Roots Bistro offers a popular gathering place featuring sandwiches, pizzas, and an assortment of wine and micro-brews on tap. The patio is a special place to enjoy lunch.


Sweet Lemon Inn and Kitchen

New to Georgetown in the spring of 2016, the Sweet Lemon Kitchen is located one block east of the Square, just south of 8th Street. The charming setting, built as a private residence is 1918, has recently been restored serving breakfast and lunch. The owners are passionate about serving healthy, local, and organic food. Their lunch menu features gourmet sandwiches, farm fresh salads, and amazing desserts. Breakfast features an assortment of pastries, oatmeal, Greek yogurt parfaits, and fruit cups.

ThunderCloud Subs
Exported from Austin, ThunderCloud Subs is a neighborhood sub shop with a rich tradition of good natured people serving fresh, fast & healthy food in a great atmosphere.

Tony and Luigi's Restaurante 
Located near Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, Tony & Luigi's is a family owned and operated restaurant featuring exceptional Italian and Mediterranean cuisine made from scratch.


Wildfire

Located one block south of the Square on Austin Avenue, next to the Palace Theater, the Wildfire is best known for its large oak log burning grill and smoking applications with apple, hickory and mesquite wood - which gives the menu items a unique flavor. The overall menu has a Texas/Southwestern theme. The Wildfire bar is a popular gathering place for happy hour.

BB’s Home Cooking 
Specializing in home cooking favorites like Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf and Fried Catfish, and Maryland Crab Cakes, BB's is another popular Georgetown restaurant.  Virginia’s favorite is their Alaysia Salad. BB's offers patio dining in a Santa Fe style setting.
